About 600 people gathered yesterday, Sunday, November 30, at the Sports Pavilion "Manolo Ibáñez" in our town, to celebrate a new edition of "Bicycle Day", despite inclement weather scheduled for last weekend week.
This event, which is framed in the extensive program of sporting events organized on the occasion of the festivities in honor of Santa Eulalia, brought once again to large families and friends of the municipality.
On this occasion, the day began at 9:00 am with registration and concluded in the city park at 12:00 with the draw for three bicycles, gift bags, vouchers Move Sports Center, vouchers for Municipal Gymnasium "Jail" and awards.
The walk began at 10:40 hours from the side of the Sports Center "MOVE" where the mayor, Isabel Maria Sanchez Ruiz, turned out for the start of the walk.
The tour lasted approximately 45 minutes and passed by some of the most central streets of Totana.
Upon arrival of the participants municipal park "Marcos Ortiz", proceeded to award the youngest participant, Alonso Andreo Lopez, the oldest participant, Martin Romero Andreo, the largest group, Family Hernández composed of 27 families and the most original participant award went to Damiana Mula Gomez.
These awards consisted of a trophy and a voucher for the month of December in the MOVE Sports Center.
Then 20 bags containing a helmet acquired by the Sports Council and various cycling accessories sponsored by Industrias Vicma were raffled.
Subsequently, 5 vouchers for Municipal Gymnasium "Jail" and 3 vouchers for the month of December at the Sports Centre were raffled MOVE.
Finally, three bicycles donated by Bici Sport Antonio Martinez, Bike Planet and the Sports Council, each accompanied with a voucher for the month of December at the Sports Centre were raffled MOVE,
All prizes and gifts were presented by Bartolome Perez Pallares, Councillor for Sports.
Finally, the Sports Council thanks the citizens collaboration in compliance with the new legislation in which the helmet is mandatory for children under 16 years.
Also, would like to thank the municipality four companies collaborating with the event: MOVE Sports Center, Bike Sport Antonio Martinez, Planet Bike and Industries Vicma.
Similarly, the invaluable assistance of Civil Protection, Local Police, Volunteers Goods, Department of City Services and staff of the Department of Sports, who have made this event takes place is also thanks once again.
