More than 2,800 students of 4th ESO 1st Baccalaureate and of schools throughout the Region of Murcia participated today at the Seventh Meeting of Students of Religion which was held in Santa Totana under the slogan "Dying Love, Santa Eulalia Martyr ".
Students from more than 50 institutes and public and private schools in the autonomous community gathered in the courtyard of the shrine since early morning to participate in the official ceremony began with the participation of an institute Batukada Bullas and ballads Uncle John Rita.
The official ceremony, which was held in Santiago Homes Corridor, was conducted by the Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, Jose Manuel Lorca Planes, CEO Training, Joaquin Buendia, mayors of Totana and Aledo, Isabel Simon and Maria Sanchez Alcaraz.
It has also been attended the episcopal vicar of Lorca, Francisco Fructuoso, and numerous parishes in the region, including that of Santiago Mayor of Totana, José Ruiz Garcia, and numerous representatives of the Delegation of Education of the Diocese of Cartagena.
Participants, who were dressed in red scarves commemorating the Year of Charity and carried many banners of their respective schools, have tasted the traditional and typical cake paprika Totana.
During the day together have organized tours for various tourist and monumental interest Totana and Aledo excursions, which were accompanied by teachers and students of religion course "Promotion and Information Away" which is taught in the CLD.
In Totana, students have visited the shrine and next to shrines like the Via Crucis, the Virgen Blanca and Mirador Heart of Jesus places, among other places.
They have made routes, and in the inner city, the parishes of St. James and the Three Hail Marys, the Chapel of the Miraculous, the source Juan de Uzeta, potteries, Balsa Vieja square Moorish oven and the headquarters of the Brotherhood of "The Fall and Elevation of the Cross" and the brotherhood of "Jesus on Calvary and sacrament."
