The city of Totana conducted an emergency plan cleaning of roads and ditches through the 117 people hired by the County Councils program.
This plan is framed on the agenda of the County Councils' Rural Development Initiative in Local Authorities "with being made cleared and conditioning work in the network of public roads.
The Mayor of Totana, María Isabel Sánchez, and the mayors of Services, María José Bedia, and Training and Employment, María José Baeza, have made a visit to see first hand how these tasks are being developed that will allow the paths of location more accessible to traffic and prevent bushfires due to the condensation of these dry waste.
The hired unemployed, who have been selected by the SEF and unions, in this first round of 39 people perform these tasks gutter cleaning and waste collection in the coming months, in different rural roads;
well as in public and infrastructure similar features distributed by the various councils totaneras spaces.
Totana for this program has received a total of 342,463.68 euros through the Employment District Councils to combat unemployment and contribute to the development of rural areas of the municipality.
The totanero Consistory for the second year, has opted for hiring unemployed in three shifts of two months, each fact enabling hiring 117 workers instead of about 70 workers who have been hired previously, this measure is intended to give more job opportunities to more people and providing an income for most families much needed right now.
This grant, as indicated by the mayor of Training and Employment, aims to combat unemployment farm favoring the employment of these workers in emerging activities in agriculture, by conducting a series of labor actions also contribute to the enhancement and the endogenous development of the most deprived in the Region of Murcia rural areas.
Meanwhile the mayor has indicated that the purpose of this program, and contribute to the common improvement of the municipality, is to fight unemployment and bet on the development of rural areas of the municipality.
Totana, as his councilor said, is primarily agricultural so it is one of the largest recipient of this grant to hire people.
