The "County Councils on Employment" program was recently launched in Totana with hiring the first shift of the total of 117 unemployed people who will benefit from it and aims to combat unemployment and contribute to the development of rural areas municipality, the councilor for Employment, María José Baeza.
Totana will receive a total of 342,463.68 euros through this program, which began on October 1 and end on March 31, divided into three different shifts of two months each.
The grant, part of the "Rural Development Initiative in Local Authorities", aims at the promotion of rural employment, through grants to the local governments for hiring workers for the implementation of projects of general and social interest.
With it also aims to combat agricultural unemployment promoting the employment of these workers in emerging activities in agriculture, by conducting a series of labor actions also contribute to the enhancement and endogenous development most depressed rural areas of the Region.
