A total of 13 students participating this year in the Classroom Occupational remedial education program whose purpose is to encourage young people to stay in education carrying out actions aimed at the prevention of absenteeism and early school leavers.
This is a classroom "link" to facilitate the incorporation of students to Initial Vocational Training Program, through which they can get the title of Secondary Education.
The program is being implemented in coordination between the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment, through the Service to Diversity and the Department of Education of the City of Totana.
The presentation ceremony was attended by the Councillor for Education, Josefa Maria Sanchez, director of IES Prado Mayor, María Soledad Garcia, team staff and representatives of the educational community.
As in previous years, students receive a basic education in sociolinguistic and scientific-technological fields corresponding to level 2 of the ESO, together with an initial training consisting of a Kitchen and Pastry Shop.
The objectives include the Classroom also promote the development of social and communication skills as well as values ​​education and guidance and counseling towards educational alternatives.
This will be a series of workshops and follow-along activities throughout the academic year.
