The Mayor of Totana, María Isabel Sánchez, met with the Deputy Director General of Planning and Sustainable Use of Water, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Victor Manuel Arqued skiing, in order to open doors seeking support and commitment to decide the case of consolidated risks in this municipality.
At the meeting, which was accompanied by the Councillor for Agriculture, Diego Muñoz, realized the work being done by the Community Irrigation Totana, with support from the City Council to ask the Segura basin recognition and legalization of consolidated irrigation irrigation in Totana.
This request, which was submitted at the time officially in the CHS, answers to common action led by the City Council, Community Irrigation, farmers, unions, SAT's to convert rainfed areas of Totana irrigated, providing them due to the volumes of water in order to solve the old problem of consolidated land irrigation.
Through the Plan of the Segura Basin Plan since its adoption, it is expected to stabilize the consolidated grown before and after 1998.
