A total of 59 people have developed work in community benefit during the first seven months of the year on municipal resources.

As pointed out the council responsible for the Department of Social Services, Josefa Maria Sanchez Mendez, this figure is significantly higher than the same period last year.

These judicial, municipal management which performs the Department of Social Services, are an educational alternative to detention in prison.

Through them, in the words of the mayor, the people have developed punished socially useful tasks in municipal resources such the Sports City, Sports City "Espuña" Warehouse City, and the Department of Youth, Culture and Education .

Since the city of Totana began collaborating in the implementation of these measures, in 2008, a total of 433 people have been incorporated into different municipal services and resources to develop these works to fulfill its judicial measure imposed.
