One hundred and twenty people participated in the training activities of Sociocultural center "Jail" during the months of February to July 2014 in the nine activities that are in the "Jail Training".
The courses and workshops that have been held were those of Introduction to Computers and the Internet;
Digital Photography and Adobe Photoshop;
Workshops for Adults and Children's Painting;
Workshops Recycling Furniture and Decoration;
Patchwork Workshops;
Theatre Workshops for beginners;
Workshops and Embroidery.
Sources of the Councils of Citizen Participation and Youth, note that two of the workshops that have been developed have been directed specifically to children, being highly demanded by this sector of the population.
These have been the introduction to painting and theater, two quite novel activities within programming Sociocultural Jail because traditionally the recipients of such training are adults.
This initiative has covered a demand that was being requested especially by parents.
The Embroidery Workshop is one of the most participative and traditional programming.
It takes twenty years to develop unabated the number of participation, all women.
Looking ahead to the next training season a call for proposals by associations, legal entities and natural persons that may be interested in imparting any training activity was opened, in collaboration with the city of Totana.
Currently already working on the development of the training program to be conducted during the months of October to December, with the aim that in early September made known to the entire population range of courses and workshops.
With this initiative, according to municipal point sources, is intended to respond to the interests, needs and demands of the general population on non-formal education, trying to offer is as varied as possible and aimed at different sectors of the population.
