The Department of Environment reported that during the first half of 2014 317.290 kilograms of glass, 179,000 and 102,320 cardboard packaging in different collection points scattered around the town and the rural town of Totana were recycled.

Of the collected 179,000 pounds of cardboard, 143,441 were recycled in existing containers in clean and 35,413 points through the "door to door" service that allows the collection on public roads in the shops in Totana.
The month in which major collection of glass figures were recorded was January (62,360 kilograms) and April (60,990 kg), due in part to increased consumption.
In May was the month in which the highest amounts of cardboard and packaging, respectively were recorded.
Today, the town has 101 recycling containers of paper and paperboard and 93 light, respectively containers.
