The Department of Public Health has initiated Totana treatments for the control of cockroaches and rodents in the municipal sewer system and public lots.
The service concessionaire has started its activity in the sewage of the village of Paretón-Cantareros and Industrial El Salt Marsh.
Sources report that the Department treatments involve the application by spraying insecticides and rodenticides baits laying sewer records in order to eradicate cockroaches (Periplaneta americana) and rodents.
Work for urban pest control will be performed with greater intensity during the summer months, and then carry out actions to review and control the effectiveness of treatment to schedule further proceedings in areas of high prevalence of these pests.
There will also be periodic treatments to control mosquitoes in the margins of the channel Guadalentin River.
