Totana City Council has undertaken the repair and refurbishment of the pumping station of the water of the industrial estate "The Salt Marsh", built in 2005, and again allow the collection and treatment of stormwater and wastewater business park ;
and its connection to the main sewer treatment plant of Totana.
Comprehensive repair this infrastructure, which had damaged several years, enabling the collection of rainwater tanks in the industrial park and back to the main drainage pumping to reuse them.

Municipal officials have stressed that this work is a "fundamental and necessary" to the industrial action of Totana;
and solves the dual problem of collection and treatment of wastewater generated by companies in the business park, and the evacuation of rainwater during torrential rains.
The mayor stressed that this work has been the result of the coordination of several councils and referred to "environmental" importance of the commissioning of this, which is at full capacity since about a week ago;
