Student Occupational Center "José Moya Trilla" participated last March 12 in the athletic Espinardo Campus in the Regional Athletics Championships, organized by the Sports Federation for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities in the Region of Murcia ( FEDEMIPS).
The turnout was 10 athletes, getting into the different races held a total of 5 gold, 2 silver and a bronze, and 3 Rated By @ s for the Championship of Spain.
In the female category, include the triplet achieved in discus: 1st Ana Rosa, Adelina 2nd, 3rd Mari Carmen.
Both Mari Carmen golds in the 100m and 200m freestyle, and consequent qualification for the Championship of Spain, obtaining a creditable mark 33 seconds in the 200 freestyle.
In the men include first place in Pedro Cánovas in discus and silver in shot put; like Mari Carmen, qualified for the championship of Spain.
Peter David, a new user of Alhama joined a few months ago and won the 100 meter freestyle, becoming the third member of the "José Moya Trilla" Championship of Spain.
He also noted that Mari Cruz, Juan Andres and Javier got different metals in adapted category, both in 80-meter freestyle, and shot put.
As in all competitions atmosphere of camaraderie and good humor, by professionals from the center and athletes reigned throughout the morning, rewarding with a visit to the School of Economics and a walk around the campus of the University of Murcia.
The next championship will be in April in Football 7 mode.
