The Patron Saint of Totana, Santa Eulalia of Merida, on Sunday received thousands of flowers on the traditional wreath laying end to the festivities in his name, which was held as usual at the door of the parish of Santiago The Mayor, in the Plaza of the Constitution.
With this act ending religious activities that have been held by the Board of the Holy Foundation in recent weeks because of the supervisory celebrations.
In traditional wreath has involved hundreds of people, groups, associations, brotherhoods Easter and special neighbors who have offered flowers and food to be distributed this Christmas by organizations working with disadvantaged families in the municipality, same way as is happening these days in the novena.
In this act, have gathered municipal authorities, headed by the mayor of Totana, María Isabel Sánchez Ruiz, and church, as well as numerous representatives of neighborhood associations and social groups in different areas of the town of Totana, who offered many branches of the patron saint of the town, which was adorned with a mantle of golden gala, as well as lots of food for later distribution.
Dozens of Easter brotherhoods, social, cultural and neighborhood groups, organizations of any social field of Totana made delivery of numerous bouquets to the Brothers of the Holy, who placed them in floral ornaments installed for the occasion.
The delegation consisting of members of the corporation, church officials and neighborhood representatives have departed from the Three Hail Marys Convent at noon, where they had concentrated.
From there they journeyed toward the Constitution Square accompanied by the Band of the Music Group and several folk groups Totana Totana, which brought up the rear.
