The Local Government Board has approved the cooperation agreement for the provision of the service of the Day Centre for People with Intellectual Disability in reliance of Totana.
Specifically, the agreement amounts to € 357,331.20 services offered from this school.
This agreement, as pointed by the mayor of Social Care, Josefa Maria Sanchez, is a substantial improvement in relation to social services that cater to this group in the town and in particular to those that has provided the Municipal psychosocial support since 2005 whose development and financial support has been borne exclusively Council of Totana.
Users have passed from now to have longer hours with maintenance, accessible transportation, and a number of basic services, therapeutic and intervention programs that will substantially improve the lives of the mentally ill.
Regarding therapeutic services takes the advice and guidance for empowerment; care and social rehabilitation, assistance and personal development, counseling and social occupational therapy, functional rehabilitation, communication and multi-sensory stimulation.
In addition, improved cognitive abilities, psycho and social participation and integration, motor, self-care, psychosocial support and pre-employment, among others.
