The Popular Culture Department has started activities to encourage reading in the library Sociocultural Center "Jail" in Totana, so that animations are used to reading as an excuse to introduce the book and reading as a readily achievable alternative entertainment.
It is for these reasons that begins as in previous years the new programming of activities to encourage reading in the library in order to bring the library to children of Totana.
"Know Your Library" is the activity that started the animation program and is aimed at students from 5th and 6th grade.
During this activity the children have learned to search in the OPAC and locating a work in the library.
The various activities that have been offered to schools in the municipality are developed by the library staff and counted as in the two previous years, with the collaboration of the author "Morerica Galan" presenting their stories to the children who come to the activities.
