Totana City Council will freeze taxes and municipal taxes for the next year to continue without applying the 0.3% rise in the CPI for the year 2014 budget, municipal budgets which are expected to approve in full next month November, according to the Councillor for Economy and Finance, María José Baeza.
Specifically, the mayor explained that stays frozen tax rate of Property Tax (IBI), the Tax Motor Vehicle, popularly known as "seal of the car", capital gains, the issue of documents, the fee Ordinance Regulating Parking (ORA), occupation of public roads, market, sports facilities, fees for vehicle towing and impound and the rest of public prices.
In addition, they will continue to establish tax credits for large families in the case of property tax and water bills, sewer and garbage, which benefit more than a hundred families of Totana.
They also establish other bonuses for 2014, such as 50% for the occupation of public roads in terraces catering establishments and 50% of Tax on Building Installations and Works (ICICI) and administrative fees for opening new businesses and entrepreneurs.
As for next year's budget, the council has said that will be discussed in full next November, meeting deadlines, and the amount will be "very similar" to 28.3 million euros in 2013, following "the trend austere and cost containment."
The mayor added that the city recorded a figure of more than 1.2 million in improper expenses, ie expenses that are the responsibility of other government and supporting the municipal coffers, in this case by maintaining centers teaching in this county.
