A total of 14 students participating this year in the Classroom Occupational remedial education program whose purpose is to encourage young people to stay in the education system performing actions aimed at the prevention of absenteeism and early school dropout.
Classroom is a "link" to facilitate the incorporation of students to the Initial Vocational Training Program, through which they can get the title of the ESO
The program, which performed for seven years, is developed in coordination between the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment, through the Service to Diversity and the Department of Education of the City of Totana.
The presentation ceremony was attended by the Councillor for Education, Josefa Maria Sanchez, director of IES Prado Mayor, Maria Soledad Garcia and Inspector Inspector of Secondary Education, Alfonso Vicente.
Students receive a basic education in sociolinguistic areas and for the scientific and technological level 2 of the ESO, with initial vocational training consisting of a Kitchen and Pastry Shop.
Among the objectives of enhancing classroom also includes the development of social and communication skills as well as values ​​education and guidance and counseling towards educational alternatives.
This will be a series of workshops and complementary activities throughout the academic year.
Occupational Classroom will be held in municipal facilities Sociocultural Center Jail in time from 8:15 to 14:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
The formation of the students will be taught by two teachers and a teacher of the Department of Technical Education, Training and Employment, also forming part of the team coordinating and monitoring the classroom a teacher of IES Prado Mayor and municipal technician.
