The City Council has presented the project Totana reservoir of La Bastida argárico the national awards Hispania Nostra 2013.
The announcement of these awards is for the purpose of placing value positive attitudes regarding interventions in Spain are carried out in relation to the cultural and natural heritage received.
The Full Council of Totana unanimously adopted political group's proposal to support this nomination.
In the category to which the project presents La Bastida promote the recognition of interventions or models of cultural management that preserving their cultural values, have played a beneficial economic impact for the people coming to the intervention environment .
The purpose of the awards is to recognize exemplary attitudes in the implementation of initiatives, projects or programs carried out in Spain by natural or legal persons, related to cultural and natural heritage, which have contributed to social and economic development of our country and that serve as references for other entrepreneurs cultural projects related to the preservation and enrichment of the Spanish Cultural and Natural Heritage.
Prizes will be awarded for works valued for their quality and exemplary character.
The awards, in three categories, consist of an honorary accredited by a bronze plaque and a certificate.
The site argárico of "La Bastide" is going to become a major tourist and cultural attractions of the Region of Murcia and Spain, which will be worth in a few months thanks to the joint efforts of various administrations and school authorities.
