Like every year, the Department of Women and Equal Opportunities Totana promotes an institutional ceremony to honor the occasion Working Women's Day March 8, with any organization or association can make their proposal deserves the Municipal Council Equal proposing his candidature.
This call aims, each issue, recognize and promote the work of individuals or legal entities that have contributed so relevant and important in defending the values ​​that promote gender equality in order to boost the policy of equal opportunity and treatment for women and men, and thus contribute to improving the situation of women in Totana.
Similarly, this tribute serves to recognize and reward the work that takes place in our town in favor of gender equality in every area: education, sports, advertising, media, social, political or business.
This year the People's Party had nominated Totana the "Figure of retired teacher in Totana" to publicly acknowledge the work and effort of more than 50 women who exercised teachers teaching in a time of great difficulty for incorporation of women into working life and work and family reconciliation.
Clearly, working conditions, employment and family of teachers for several decades now and not the time they decided to reconcile their studies and their work either.
It should re-emphasize the importance of those good education professionals who contributed their work to the knowledge and values ​​formation of children and young people, preparing them for their future, that permeated their education and that led, almost without knowing it, values inherent to promoting gender equality and society.
