The Councillor for the Environment, María José Bedia, today the communication campaign and environmental awareness on waste recycling in Totana, which this year focuses on the proper use of yellow containers for packing light.
The realization of this campaign is developed under the City's accession to the collaboration agreement between the Ministry of the Presidency and the company "Ecoembajales Spain, SA", and aims to raise awareness among neighbors in the recycling of packaging waste plastic and metal and breaks.
This campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of recycling, promoting the separation of waste at source, increase recycling and lightweight packaging paper and cardboard, information about the correct use of green points installed in public and increase public participation in waste recycling.
The campaign includes several actions in broadcast media, lectures and awareness-raising initiative "Door to Door" and the installation of a Mobile Information Point (PIM) on the weekly market.
The PIM will provide an information service and environmental awareness every Wednesday for the next six weeks on the market, from 9:30 to 13:30, which will be reported to deposit waste in each container separate collection located on public roads.
