Dozens of students from different schools in Totana have participated in the "Santa Eulalia and children" who have organized in recent weeks the Foundation La Santa and has had the invaluable collaboration of professors of religion to bring the smallest knowledge of the life and work of the Employer of Totana, municipal sources said in a statement.
In the competition, students and Primary Education have been numerous comic works, bookmarks and poetry, while students of 1 ESO reliefs and have done work on art related to the life of the patron saint of Totana.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition of works that remain in the parish church of St. James during the novena was attended by the mayor, Isabel Maria Sanchez, and the president and pastor of Santiago, Jose Ruiz Garcia, respectively.
Also gathered in the act the council of Celebration and Popular Culture, Alfonso Cayuela, Butler of La Santa, Rafael Hostench, patrons of the Foundation La Santa and representatives of the educational community of Totana, among which were the teachers of Religion area.
Totana Mayor thanked and congratulated the Foundation La Santa for organizing such cultural initiatives which, each year, add more schools and more students involved, and said that this contest is a great initiative that connects the deepest identity of our city and ensures the love, affection and knowledge of our school, totaneros future generations.
He said that this initiative is ensuring continuity in devotion and fervor to our Patron and encouraged each and every one of the contributors each year their bit to continue with this noble work and invaluable service to the promotion and dissemination of the values ​​inherent in the figure of Santa Eulalia.
He also thanked all the teachers and students who participated in this contest organized by Fundación La Santa and encouraged them to continue this work of knowledge to the life of the patron.
