A total of 39 people have been hired under the program "Rural Development Initiative in local corporations" who are doing conditioning work and cleared the road network in rural Totana, as explained Councilwoman and Facility Management Services City, María José Bedia.
Hired unemployed, who have been selected by the SEF and unions, in this first round perform these tasks gutter cleaning and rubbish collection, the next three months, in different roads and in public spaces and infrastructure related distributed by the different characteristics totaneras councils.
The mayor of the City Comprehensive Maintenance and Roads, María José Baeza, has welcomed them during the first day of occupational safety that took place today.
Totana for this program has received a total of 340,488 euros through the Employment District Councils to combat unemployment and contribute to the development of rural areas of the municipality.
This grant is aimed at promoting agricultural combat unemployment employability of workers in emerging activities in agriculture, by conducting a series of labor actions that contribute also to the enhancement and the endogenous development of rural areas most deprived in the Region of Murcia.
