Totana City Council is conducting an energy efficiency audit of street lighting in order to save costs and seek to improve the environment, which has allowed in recent months evaluating 7236 points of light and 93 command centers of the town.
During this time, 909 were examined areas that correspond to roads, streets, parks, squares and roads, in which technicians analyze the types of lamps and lights used as well as their powers and consumption, command, control and control any aspect of energy consumption.
The Councillor for the Environment, María José Bedia, explained that the objective of the energy audit is to reduce the energy consumption of public lighting Totana, limit light pollution and light pollution.
It is also expected to know the actions needed to improve efficiency and reduce facility consumption, reflected in a significant cost savings.
For this, the Consistory is planning to have the advice of an energy service company (ESCO) to respond to the needs to have a more efficient lighting, cheap and sustainable.
