A total of 37 people at risk of social exclusion have received their certificates of participation in the various workshops and courses offered by the Collective for Social Promotion 'The Candle' to improve the employability of disadvantaged groups.
Specifically, the group 'The Candle', within its project 'Labor: a step towards employability', has organized a course in social skills, techniques one active job search, two computer literacy and one in which involved a total of 24 people, which the CEO of Pensions, Valuation and Inclusion Program Murciano Institute of Social Action (IMAS), John Brown, the Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez Ruiz, and Councilwoman Social Care, Maria Josefa Sanchez, they handed over the diplomas attesting to successfully pass these training activities.
The Ministry of Health and Social Policy, through the Directorate General of Pensions, Valuation and Inclusion Programs, works with both associations in order to promote social integration and employment of certain groups by developing individualized itineraries insertion.
Totana Mayor thanked the staff bet each of the people who have been part of this project, as they get "take one more step towards improving their employment situation."
In this regard, he recalled that since the project started almost a hundred people have been those who have found work thanks to this improvement in their training.
It has also expressed its commitment to the maintenance of such projects, which have a dual purpose, both to improve training and to help the access to employment for people most in need.
The CEO, John Brown, said that these courses use a working methodology adapted to the characteristics, capabilities, needs and expectations of each person.
In this regard, he recalled that one of the priorities of the Regional Operational Programme developed by the Autonomous Region for 2007-2013 is the social integration of minorities, equality between men and women and the consolidation of the integration, and in this framework "is developed in collaboration with the group The Candle".
