The Councillor for Development and Employment, Mary Jose Baeza, along with the mayor of Women and Equal Opportunities, Eulalia Sandoval, have welcomed the women that are part of the student's course "Organic production, horticulture, medicinal and aromatic plants ".
This training is being carried out thanks to the cooperation agreement between the City and the Association of Family and Rural Women of the Region of Murcia.
This course, which it mainly for unemployed women, starts runs until October 20 daily from 9:30 to 13:30 pm in the Centre for Citizen Participation, Menorca Street 2.
Among the objectives of the course, which is free, is set to equip participants with the knowledge needed in the field of organic production; benefit from training in the rural ecological productions for creating stable employment or self-employment that allows keep people from rural areas and prevent depopulation.
As you examine the theoretical ecological horticulture: crop associations: Organic gardening: how to combat pests in organic farming organic fruit growing, production of small fruits (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, etc.). Aromatic and medicinal plants , composting for organic products, processing of agricultural products (preserves, jams, etc.). production of bread; orientation in employment, and occupational safety.
International Day of Rural Women, October 15
