The users and the educational team of the Day Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities "José Moya Trilla" Totana, celebrated the International Day of Peace with a postcard exchange with Leap Program of Chesapeake, Virginia (USA).
Throughout the month underway different dynamics and coexistence games to promote the values ​​of respect, tolerance, love and friendship.
To celebrate this day, we have opted for the Mail Art Mail Art or in English "Mail Art" movement of exchange and communication through the middle order with the LEAP PROGRAM SEVTC the Chesapeake in Virginia (USA), where different people have participated with disabilities.
In this center have made postcards with motives of peace set out in the Centre "José Moya" Totana and performed simultaneously presented here in central Virginia (USA).
The International Peace Day is celebrated worldwide on 21 September, according to the United Nations General Assembly, and has among its objectives to strengthen the ideals of peace both within each of the nations, and between all of them and their people.
From the Center "José Moya Trilla" is to thank the special involvement of Tamara, Demise, Steven, Roxanne, Kunta, Shoan, Joseph, Willis, Connie, Liliana and the SEVTC PROGRAM LEAP Coordinator Diane.
It also invites the public to be able to enjoy the works on display in the morning from 10:00 to 13:00 hours.
