During the month of September, "The Candle" has conducted two training activities, a Workshop Monograph on Gender Violence Prevention and Business Training Course Waiter / a.
Workshop on Gender Violence Monograph has had the participation of eight people, who were able to reflect on the relationships, conflict resolution in an appropriate way, the importance of equality between men and women, family responsibility, etc. .
Furthermore, for the delivery of this workshop has had the collaboration of professionals CAVI-Center for Victims of Violence-Totana, who explained to the / ae / as in what their job well as basic questions about GBV.
Regarding the Business Training Waiter / to have been four people that have been formed by the hand of a great professional as Raul Martinez-Arias Azor, who imparted training in purely local practice that he runs, the Restaurant Plaza.
Through this course, students were able to learn the duties and responsibilities of the daily work of a waiter and practice good waiter protocol.
These courses are part of the training activities carried out by The "LABOR: A step towards employability" project, which is working in Totana since November 2007, in collaboration with City Council and funded Totana 20% Murciano Institute of Social Action and by 80% by the European Social Fund.
The project "Labor: a step towards employability" currently has two ways of working, on the one hand accompaniment is integral to the person in the process of overcoming their situation of social vulnerability (search for resources, information on benefits , document management, personal and family counseling, etc..), on the other hand are given tools to improve the position on the labor market with the ultimate goal of finding a job (in trades training, job search techniques , information, career guidance, etc..).
During this year, through this program, the Collective "The Candle" has served continuously for more than 90 people, designed and implemented with each of them, a journey of socio-labor, resulting in job placement 12 people, in addition to providing support, training and guidance to all of them.
To conclude from "The Candle" is to thank both the Restaurant Plaza and its staff, as the team of the Center for Victims of Gender Violence Totana his involvement in the realization of these two courses.
It also wants to highlight the great efforts every day many people, despite being in particularly difficult situations, do not decay in the efforts made to overcome their problems and find a job.
