Totana City Council granted the title Honorary Citizen of the City to Don Francisco Fructuoso Andrew, who was pastor of the Church of Santiago from 2000 to 2010 in an official ceremony to be held, likely in the coming celebrations of Santa Eulalia, said the mayor, Isabel Maria Sanchez.
The councilor explained that at the last meeting the Board agreed to hold the Holy promoted the act by the Session, at the request of the parish community, coinciding with the end of the novena of the Patroness of Totana.
Fructuoso Francisco was born in October 1963 in Cobatillas (Murcia) and his priestly vocation was forged in the Diocesan Seminary of Murcia.
After being ordained a priest and play, over eight years, different responsibilities of the provincial parishes Well cartageneras Strait and The Albujón and Paul (Cartagena), was appointed pastor of St. James the Great of Totana in September 2000.
During the period 2000/10 assumed responsibility Pastor of Santiago El Mayor by appointment of the Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena-Murcia, ceasing in that role in September 2010 by transfer as Zone Pastoral Vicar of Lorca.
During this decade, Fructuoso Francisco held a present commitment to parish life and delivery, proximity and welcome to all those who in their daily work came to him, and his dedication to the restoration of the parish church of Santiago.
As chaplain of the Cabildo, Francisco worked closely Fructuoso presidents and magnify directives Easter, assisting in the many different instruments and cults and actively participating in the processions.
Also made a commendable Fructuoso work heading the Board of Trustees of Santa, under whose chairmanship valuable performances were held significance as the commemoration of the seventeenth anniversary of the Martyrdom of Santa Eulalia, the acquisition of a litter throne for Santa, restoration of the sanctuary as a whole as well as a long list of achievements, encouraged by his unconditional love and his life Totana priestly delivery, among others.
