The Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sánchez Ruiz, met in Madrid with the Secretary of State for Tourism, Isabel Borrego, to begin work on the Action Plan for the national and international promotion Argárico Reservoir La Bastida, since Archaeological Park is considered the most important in the Mediterranean Arc of the early Bronze Age.
Sanchez Ruiz has requested the assistance of the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism to integrate the deposit on domestic routes of culture and tourism to attract visitors to learn live reconstruction work and research currently being developed by the team of Archaeology of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
In a few months, as reported Borrego municipal councilor, the village will be fully conditioned to welcome the public with the launch of the site musealization, whose project is being carried out.
From that time, the campaign will begin promotion and internationalization of this tourist resort "that will become a cultural landmark in the Mediterranean area".
It also will work with tour operators for the site, along with the Shrine of the Holy, becoming a tourist destination for cruise passengers disembarking at the port of Cartagena.
In this sense, Sánchez Ruiz explained that they should seize all roaming tourist flows in the area to focus the site and the tourist area of ​​Totana.
