The Collective for Social Promotion "The Candle", in collaboration with the Councils of Education, Citizenship and Social Care, organized various educational activities and leisure time for the academic year 2012/13, to be held in the social center of the neighborhood San Roque, whose registration period begins next Monday.
The Councillor for Citizen Participation, Social Groups and Neighborhood Relations, Maria Josefa Sanchez, coordinator of "The Candle", Eva Leon, and the vice president of this institution, Gine Rubio, presented the program of activities that will be offered for the new course.
Activities are planned for the academic year starts now, beginning in October 2012 and ending in June 2013.
All these actions are part of education, both for children and youth and adults, as well as in the field of educational entertainment for children and youth, respectively, and will be developed on the premises of that community center.
The program includes a variety of activities such as a children's English Eduteca Childhood Education, English workshops for Primary, Secondary and Adult, School Support classes for all subjects, a toy library, among other services.
Also included is an extensive program in the field of new technologies, and training will be developed computer (Word, Excel, Access, Internet and Email, PowerPoint, etc) of different levels, computer typing, among others.
In addition, to complement this training program and to comply chasing of the entity, "The Candle" offer other resources free of charge to promote the access of young people and neighborhood residents to resources.
These free activities are opening a Classroom Free internet access and a Youth Space, where young people from 15 years old may perform various activities (cinema forum, outdoor activities, music, etc.).

The council congratulated "The Candle" for becoming a benchmark for social and educational revitalization in Totana and reported that this association will take, at the request of one of San Roque neighborhood association-Las Parras, social center management This neighborhood.
Sanchez announced that his department is working to process the transfer of social local neighborhoods and districts to AAVV to assume the management and use thereof to facilitate new ways of managing more profitable from the standpoint of social and financial support to the time of bringing forward projects and initiatives of social promotion.
