The Highways Agency has today launched the cleaning and clearing of roadside ditches and cleaning at the C-7 and C-8 in the town of Totana, that communicate with the provincial town of La Huerta and Viñas -Carivete respectively.
This action is undertaken after the request made Totana Mayor, Isabel Maria Sanchez, the Director of Roads, José Antonio Guijarro, in its last meeting held last March after the formal request made the headman of both councils in one of the meetings that took place earlier this year.
The Autonomous Community technical work has begun clearing the roads from the place de la Cruz Mission, near the village, with manual and mechanical means, including cleaning gutters and verges and cutting shrubs invading edges of the tracks.
In addition, there will also be pruning trees and hedges on private property they occupy public roads in the coming weeks.
