The Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, through service management and forest protection, will perform environmental restoration a reservoir that is located in the Sierra de Chíchar, Cabezo Gordo and Los Picarios in the municipality.
This action removed all waste generated in the dismantling of the reservoir, the reservoir scenically integrated in the environment, and condition the reservoir to increase the availability of water for wildlife.
According to reports from the Department of Environment, is to rehabilitate a dam to create a pond in order to increase the availability of water for wildlife.
The pond will have a size of 400 m2 (16 x 25 m) and will be installed in the basin of the old reservoir.
The first action to be done is remove the fence which delimits the plastics reservoir and the existing slopes.
Then be loaded onto a truck this waste for transport to landfill.

Then be performed earthmoving waters relevant to an existing gully drain to the pond to be installed.
Once done will form the ridges of the raft of 400 m2 within the reservoir basin.
In the next phase will proceed to bottom sealing of the raft.
To waterproof to use a clay material (láguenas) which is available in areas near the site of action belonging to the MUP n ° 81.
The units of work that have been considered are digging into the láguenas, loading and transportation to the site of action and extended irrigation and compacted on the bottom of the pond of 400 m2.
Finally, and to complete environmental remediation will fill the pond with 40 m3 of water to a height of 10 cm above the bottom.
