This Sunday the August 12, 2012, on account of the meteor shower known as the "Perseids" or "Tears of St. Lawrence" from a private initiative of some neighbors of Totana, has called for all those who wish to consider this astronomical event that target after 22:30 h.
to the square of the Heart of Jesus in the Holy of Totana (Murcia) to observe Estellas rain.
Attendance is free and the event is directed to the public in general.
In this shower of shooting stars, it may get to watch several dozen meteors per hour.
There will also be available to all attendees with a powerful telescope to liven up the session from which you can see planets, star clusters, nebulae and double stars, among other objects in the sky.

Totana Town Hall, the lights of the monument of the Sacred Heart will remain off throughout the weekend to see this astronomical event in all its splendor from as emblematic.
Since the organization is also recommended to bring a chair recliner, some food, drink and warm clothes for comfort and enjoyment of the event.
