The mayor, Isabel Maria Sanchez, and the Councillor for Education, Maria Josefa Sanchez, met with the new director of the Regional Adult Education Center, Jorge Hernandez Coronado, replacing for many years has held this position and leaves it now retirement, in order to have a first taste of institutional and find ways of providing the training offered by this service in Totana.
The meeting was also attended by technicians from the Department of Education and Secretary of the Regional Centre for Adult Education.
The Regional Centre for Adult Education has supra-municipal area, as is taught in the towns of Alhama de Murcia, Totana Librilla and in this case, in premises of the former IES "Juan de la Cierva" in Lorca Avenue.
In addition, officials of the Adult Education Centre have raised the municipal authorities need to put up the facade of the space where this teaching is taught by progressive deterioration.
Adult education is the kind of adult-oriented teaching, and in particular those who have completed or abandoned formal education.
It is based on criteria applicable to other educational sites: the lifelong learning and continuing through which any person is inserted into a recycling process of learning and knowledge throughout their lives.
