The Councillor for Citizen Participation, Josefa Maria Sanchez Mendez, participated in the inauguration of the exhibition "Entreculturas 2012" IFEPA (Torre Pacheco) in the Hall for the Integration of Immigrants and development cooperation.
Totana City Council, through the Department of Social Welfare, has participated in the fair during the three days it lasted, with a display which showed the work carried out between the municipal area and the different groups of Totana immigrants.
To the exhibitor totanero, moved by the Minister of Health and Social Policy, Mari Angeles Palacios, Director General of Immigration, Leopoldo Navarro, and the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, among other policy makers.
Through this display, as the mayor said of Citizen Participation, has sought to promote social integration of the immigrants, raise awareness and engage the host society in the immigration, while support to the participating institutions, providing a meeting and
Sanchez Mendez highlighted the commitment and the commitment that the City of Totana has maintained for the enhancement of intercultural coexistence and integration of immigrant collective based in the Second Municipal Plan for the integration of immigrants and intercultural awareness .
Throughout the weekend took place dynamic activities with children, through a painting contest, whose gifts were donated by the Rock Barcelonista Totana, and to the public at large an idea competition on tolerance.
