Students 3 and 4 of the ESO and 6 Primary School Education Agreed "Reina Sofia" are participating, with the invaluable collaboration of the faculty of this educational institution in the project called "AXIS and EME", respectively; an innovative educational initiative that has allowed them to approach the world of promotion and business innovation.
These projects are driven by the Ministry of Universities and Research Company, through the Development Agency of Murcia (INFO), together with the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment and is framed within the 'Plan We start' in axes of a named Fostering Entrepreneurial Culture in Early Ages.
The general manager of INFO, Juan Hernandez, the Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez, Councilwoman Training and Employment, Mary Jose Baeza, and the Director of Secondary Education of CC "Reina Sofia", Fulgencia Canovas, this project met the first hand in the educational institution in charge of the school involved and their own teachers.
This is the only educational institution for Totana is developing this initiative, with the assistance and technical advice to the INFO.
The "SHAFT" has been developed by 29 students from 4 th ESO have formed the company "Buy-headed" while the project "EME", which have promoted 52 students from 6 of primary school education, and companies which have been "Ecoloco and Copem" respectively.
In the case of the "EME", during the school year, students are in the classroom their own mini-company, as a cooperative, where they perform tasks such as the choice of the governing council, drafting bylaws and corporate image design, as presented themselves during the act.
They explained the school, its activity is the manufacture of products made by them in class, after market research.
The methodology of these programs is the student notes that the real protagonist of their learning.
'Learning by doing' is the cornerstone of STEM programs and EME, as are students who are responsible for making decisions, while the teacher's role is to support and advice.
Meanwhile, in the case of the "AXIS", students of 3 ° or 4 ° of ESO have developed a catalog of products offered to customers, seeking funding through the loan application to a financial institution and, Finally, import and export products that they offer other school mini-companies, which are also involved in the project elsewhere in Spain or abroad.
They explained that the companies created during the school year will output its products in the regional market will be held on May 31th Avenue Freedom of Murcia, which will bring together over 2,000 students participate this year around 70 schools in the region.
Director of Secondary Education, Fulgencia Canovas, explained that these projects, it seeks to develop entrepreneurial skills in children and young people from an early age, working in them skills such as personal initiative, autonomy, teamwork, leadership , the capacity for conflict resolution or communication skills, among others, capabilities inherent in a self-starter.
For its part, the director of INFO said that this experience will serve the school to encourage their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, closer to actual knowledge of the odds offered by the business and know first hand, the result of their academic experiences, details and basic principles to create and implement a real company.
The Mayor congratulated and thanked the community college education for their involvement in this initiative and stressed that these programs develop competencies and skills required to create and manage a business in the classroom, from one generation to be far more entrepreneurship for the crisis that exists.
He reiterated that this initiative also underlines the innovative educational effort of this school since its establishment Totana as a cooperative for over 25 years and said the implementation of these projects is the result of collaboration between different government institutions and the school itself.
