Municipal Service users Psychosocial Support, future day center for Persons with Mental Illness Totana, participated in the Seminar on Road Safety Education in order to know the habits of safe conduct Road Safety.
Hand in hand with actors, Javier Carrion and Jose Rodriguez, coordinated by the local police out of Totana, Pedro Canovas Arias, center users did internships in the city park Traffic.
The training provided by the agents has been completed with the work done at the Centre, through the website of the local police Totana, Education Road, where users have enjoyed doing the questionnaires completed by the Directorate General of Traffic.
These days of road safety education have been framed within a wider program of activities of daily living, including basic ADLs (eating, sleeping, health, substance use, etc.), Instrumental ADL (home care, transportation, education vial, etc.) and ADL (advanced integration into the environment, community resources, etc).
The main objective of this conference road safety education has been to promote safe behavioral habits walk down the street.
During the practice session, attendees were able to implement what they learn in real situations, such as sidewalks, crosswalks, traffic lights, etc..
According to sources the Centre, this activity has been a very positive experience, meeting important goals such as diversification of the activities of SAP, as well as improving the autonomy and independence of all users.
