City officials have visited the IES "Prado Mayor", invited by the school management in order to see first hand the activities organized by the educational community in the framework of the Cultural Week held this week and is entitled "The memory and remembrance," and which have involved all departments of the institute.
The mayor, Isabel Maria Sanchez, and the Councillor for Education, Josefa Maria Sanchez, accompanied by director Maria Soledad Garcia and other teachers, visited today the educational institution to meet the management team hand the activities scheduled for the Cultural Week .
The IES has organized a wide and varied program of activities, among them film forum, symposia, conferences, exhibitions, radio programs, conferences, theater, exhibition and sale of books and concerts, among others.
Among the most important exhibitions include "Books in the memory" and "Memory, memory and testimonial literature," the conference "As if I did see," by Professor of the University of Murcia Saved Rubio and poetry reading "Memorial".
One activity that has attracted most attention was the exhibition "Photography and the image of memory", an exhibition put together by students at the school in which through photographs express intimate and personal stories.
City officials praised the work of the educational community of the school by organizing Cultural Week and encouraged them to continue this teaching innovation and knowledge cross coinciding with the celebration of World Book Day.
