The Popular Party will urge the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration to compel the government to cover various amenities within its jurisdiction and that municipalities no longer afford costs of inappropriate skills.

The PP will submit a motion for the full April to urge the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia to promote this line of claim to defend the general interests of the municipalities in Murcia and the rise to instances of government appropriate regional and state levels to compensate for the economic plight of municipal finances.

The deputy spokesman for the Popular Party, Maria Josefa Sanchez, said that local councils through the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia come claiming for years that the consistories stop afford the costs of services not within their competence or inappropriate skills, and involving an amount millionaire in municipal budgets.

Sanchez said that the municipalities has been long complaining about the high costs that result in the provision of services that correspond to other administrations, regional and state basically, and this is an untenable situation that the crisis has exacerbated the difficulties of local authorities to costeándolos continue.

Totana City Council is already giving up since early this term to public services or resources that do not come one hundred percent funded by regional or central government and non-municipal competition.

The Popular Party mayor, through his government team, has proven to be responsible when the general interests of the residents of Totana been dealt with.

This claim has been made by other mayors from different political parties to the Autonomous Community and the Federation of Municipalities in Murcia because the economic and financial situation is identical for all states in his motion.

The council has said that it is a common problem and believe it is a fair request that we have done because they are skills that are our own, but traditionally affect our budgets.
