Totana City Council has certified to the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration a debt of around 28.9 million euros, so pay through the credit line established by the Government's Office for payment to suppliers a total of 8,747 bills to 677 companies.
This data has now provided the Councillor for Finance and Contracting, Maria Jose Baeza, after the City announced that it will qualify for the credit line established by the Government to this effect, which corresponds to invoices total amount held on 31 December 2011.
The mayor has announced late on Thursday sent the invoices to the Department, after public employees in his department have done a great and arduous work of gathering and processing.
In this sense, Baeza explained that the City Council and most of the work ahead thanks to previous work they had done months before the municipal technicians to prepare the Financial and Economic Study.
Of the 28.9 million euros in total add up these bills, all correspond to the local authority, as the two municipal corporations PROINVITOSA CEDETO and not beholden to suppliers, as stated.
Besides others are around 3.5 million euros will not accept that line because there are government works, services and supplies, as established by Royal Decree approved by the Government.
These are basically social groups subsidies and concessions of municipal services.
Baeza explained that this municipal debt with suppliers, the 30% figure for the previous dealer service solid waste collection and street cleaning, and another 15 or 20% to four major construction companies that implemented infrastructure.
