The Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez Ruiz, said today two days of official mourning in the town of Totana by the death of former Councillor of the Corporation of the last two legislatures and former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Municipal Society for the Promotion Industrial Land and Housing PROINVITOSA, Jose Antonio Valverde Queen.
The local councilor has determined, by order, the declaration of official mourning that includes suspension of all official public events organized by the City during the days of today and tomorrow, and lowered to half mast flags flown in Totana outside of municipal public buildings, lighting with a black crape as a sign of mourning.
The declaration of official mourning is governed in accordance with the provisions of Title V, Article 25 of the Rules of Protocol and Ceremonial Hall Distinguished Loyal and Noble City Totana.
Jose Antonio Valverde Queen, 52, married with three children, has been Totana municipal councilor for eight years in the legislature 2003-2007 and 2007-2011 and spokesman of the government team of the last legislature.
He has held delegations Economic and Strategic Development, Industry, Development and Employment, Equity, Alternative Energy and Sports and the Presidency of the Council of Directors of the Company Commercial Proinvitosa.
Currently, since June 2011, José Antonio Valverde Queen was chairman of the Olympic Football Club Totana.
The funeral will take place tomorrow, Saturday March 17 at 10:30 am at the Church of Santiago el Mayor of Totana.
