Six women COATO Totana and entities were honored last night and ADIPSAI during the official ceremony organized by the Department of Women and Equal Opportunities and held at the cultural center "Jail" coinciding with the celebration of International Women's Day, which is celebrated every March 8.
This was attended by a large audience, among which were municipal authorities, representatives of associations and groups proponents, families and friends of the honorees and employees of entities receiving such recognition.
The event began with the reading of institutional manifesto adopted by the Plenary Hall of Totana, at the initiative of three groups representing municipal, councilor in charge of Women and Equal Opportunities, Eulalia Sandoval.
Then paid tribute to the various women in the municipality who have stood by his professional or personal, which were proposed by various associations and groups of Totana, who received a bouquet of flowers and a certificate commemorating this event.

This annual competition aims to recognize and promote the work of individuals or legal entities that have contributed to or featured in a relevant way in defending the values ​​that promote gender equality.
This initiative intends to promote the policies of equal opportunity and treatment between women and men, and thus contribute to improving the situation of women in Totana.
This act culminated the program of activities organized by the City Council this week to commemorate the International Day of Working Women, which included awareness workshops in schools, prevention campaigns on violence against women in business and so-called "Route for equality ", respectively.
The mayor congratulated the women's associations for social advocacy and family being made in this town and appreciated the work that has been making the City Council for Equality in recent weeks for the institutional organization of the event.
Sanchez said authorities have a duty to promote actions aimed at the education needed to eliminate gender inequality and work together to build a model more equalizing social and educational
He noted that "we are obliged to contribute com and disseminate facts to promote equality of women, but this commitment must not be based on building called 'positive discrimination' in favor of women and to the detriment of men or against the 'negative discrimination', but based on its own merits and in the performance of their duties and responsibilities.
