The Popular Party in Totana will file a motion in the March plenary session that is intended to ask the National Government the need for an employment plan for women in the framework of active employment policies and labor reform and coordinated with the National Employment Plan.
The motion was filed today by the mayor of Women and Equal Opportunities, Eulalia Sandoval, and includes the need to adopt a comprehensive plan to support the reconciliation of working life, personal and family of women and men with the primary purpose of remove barriers that limit this reconciliation and otherwise facilitate the incorporation of women into the labor market.
PP's proposal aims to promote the use as a mark of excellence in equality, equality in the company distinctive, in order to become a benchmark for companies committed to equality between women and men.
The motion of the Popular Party proposes policies to encourage equal opportunities through the promotion of equality plans in promoting SMEs and training projects for women to facilitate their access to management and decision making.
Sandoval explained that we are at the peak of social inequality that has lived democratic Spain in its current stage and noted that five years of job destruction have led to 5,200,000 people are unemployed and more than one and a half million families have all their members unemployed.
He said that to develop equality in all areas of employment is necessary to include the family, and that women suffer an overload of responsibility in relation to men that affect their life choices and their economic independence.
That is why effective to achieve equal rights and opportunities between men and women in employment is essential to removing barriers that prevent full compatibility between work, family and staff.
