Totana The schoolchildren are taking part in an awareness program for Equal Opportunity and Prevention of Gender Violence in schools organized by the Department of Women and Equality on the occasion of the celebration of March 8 "International Women's Day ".
During the months of February and March, Professional Service Center Gender Violence Totana being made, both group sessions for tutors, as talks specifically to all the students of 4th ESO schools in the locality.
Councilwoman Women and Equal Opportunities, Eulalia Sandoval, explained that this initiative aims to provide students with the tools of reflection that create a critical attitude before stereotypic messages, raise awareness and prevent domestic violence from the adolescence.
Among the content that is being offered to students are giving, as stated by the mayor, why it happens and occurs Gender Violence, the equality and inequality indicators, strategies to detect risk situations a relationship and resources to combat gender violence.
