Organization and management of school choirs, "organized by the Center for Language and Communication (CPR) of Lorca.
This course, 25 hours, began last October and has been taught by John Smith (voice teacher and director of the Polyphonic Choir "Vox Musicalis") and José Antonio Muñoz (professor of tuba and band director Music "Our Lady of PASIC" Torre-Pacheco).
Sessions have been developed in the IES "Juan de la Cierva and Codorníu" Totana, with Jesus Martinez (music teacher and deputy head teacher of the center) as coordinator.
The course closed then emerged as an autonomous training seminar held at the center last year, also taught by Pedro Perez.
The main objective was to provide the same basic tools for teachers to promote singing within schools, as well as choirs and choral activities development.
The success of this seminar was that from the CPR would support the proposal to continue this path with ongoing training recently completed.
For the closing session of the teachers attending the course (10 in total, from different municipalities) with the cooperation of Musicalis Vox, who served as pilot choir to lead some parts.
The ceremony was also attended by John Manzanares (CPR secretary and adviser to the field of Humanities) and current director of the CPR of Lorca, José Gallardo.
Both representatives, after evaluating the results obtained, have expressed their desire and commitment to continue supporting this type of training courses, so the center could pofertar a new course for next year.
