On Tuesday January 3 band of bugles and drums of the Illustrious Cabildo Superior Processions held its last performance of the season prior to Lent and Easter, accompanying the children of the town in the delivery of his letters to the Magi.
Past eight in the evening the members of the band performed several carols in the square of the Old raft and subsequently held a parade through the city.
With this new partnership, totally disinterested and free, in the events organized in the city and to cooperate with the proper Christmas spirit these days, the band formed by musicians from the various sororities and fraternities in the locality , end the series of actions that have taken place during the month of December, where they participated in different events: Santa Eulalia wreath, visit the nursing home in La Purisima and delivery of letters to their Majesties the Magi.
The board of the Illustrious Cabildo Totana Higher processions represented by its president Juan María Zamarreño, want to congratulate all the components that make up the band of the Cabildo, and appreciate the effort and work being done during these two years.
Also, the president of the Cabildo and vocal music, Diego Martinez Vidal, want to recognize the effort and commitment that all gang leaders have shown to maintain and promote the spirit of unity, hard work and dedication within the band.
Finally, the Illustrious Cabildo Processions Superior informs the council that the band will not participate in the traditional Three Kings Parade to be held on Thursday, January 5.
The band members have dismissed the proposal made by the City Council to participate, opening the parade of the ride, to avoid any discrepancies that may arise with the association that organizes this event for the first time.
Also indicate that the band members spent more than three months rehearsing, as volunteers, to participate freely in the various events that take place this Christmas in the town.
The Illustrious Cabildo Processions Higher regrets that the organizers have not seen fit to have the opinion of those responsible for the band in the parade organization parade of Kings.
