The Governing Board held on Monday gave its approval to the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Autonomous Region of Murcia, Murcia through the Institute of Social Action, to provide the service day center for people with Mental Illness in the municipality.
Thus, as explained Totana Mayor, Isabel Maria Sanchez, offered these people the right to enjoy basic levels of social welfare and services available that meet these social needs, for what is needed programs that expand the existing services to dependent persons, in order to improve their living conditions.
Thanks to this agreement, which has an amount of 200,000 euros, welfare programs are developed at the Center for Persons with Disabilities Day at the hands of professionals.
With these programs, as indicated by Sánchez Ruiz, trying to promote a better quality of life for these people, enhancing their autonomy and adequate conditions of living in their own home environment and community partner.
