The Department of Agriculture asked farmers Totana technical reports of damage caused by the plague of rabbits to ask the Ministry of Environment Chair and the extension of time to hunt on open land.
Councillor of Agriculture, Diego Munoz, explained that farmers have notified through a letter that these reports are forwarded as soon as possible to request the Autonomous Community the extension of this deadline.
The mayor recalled that the General Directorate of Environment, through the Office of Inland Fish and Game, issued last August by the order which declared "Hunting District Temporary Emergency" for the prevention of agricultural damage caused by the proliferation of rabbits, which were determined not hunting land that could be applied on the capture and control measures established.
