On the evening of Saturday 19, was held the twenty-sixth edition of the Ascent to the Castle of Lorca with a distance of 4.5 km and with significant slopes, especially in their final ramps to reach the goal.
This time the representation of Totana Athletics Club, was by the athletes and Bartholomew Fulgencio Garcia Sanchez.
With an afternoon rain that threatened but ultimately remained close to 200 runners started the race, as usual, in the Plaza of Spain.
The beginning, for a distance of approximately 1.5 km practically flat for the downtown streets of Lorca, was very rapid, being dominated by clubs Lorca.
Then deep in the old town of Lorca, where slopes reach the major and career stretched and began to define itself.
In the absence of official classifications in this short but tough test, CAT athletes, Bartholomew and Fulgencio Garcia Sanchez completed a magnificent career, the latter getting 3rd place in its category and therefore up to the podium.
