Totana City Council will consider the possible transfer of use of the present building of the Center for Reconciliation of work and family life, built in 2009 in the industrial park "The Saladar" of this town, the Association "D'Genes "and the Spanish Federation for Rare Diseases (ERDF) in the Region of Murcia.
The Plenary unanimously approved to request the General Secretariat of the Consistory conducting a feasibility study on the transfer of these municipal facilities to the partnership to carry out its activities and the provision of conciliation service of the work and family life.
This infrastructure was built and equipped jointly by the Consistory and the Autonomous although it has been put into operation, since, among other matters, that prompted its construction needs have changed markedly since its creation by the state of economic crisis and unemployment.
The association of rare diseases "D'Genes" provides, at present, comprehensive rehabilitation services for patients with severe developmental disorders, social and psychological care, legal assistance, cognitive and auditory stimulation, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, speech therapy, massage and stimulation reflexology, among others.
This local company has its narrow street, 4 Totana and serves over 100 users each month.
The delegation of ERDF in the Region of Murcia also offers services in the same office and consolidated since 2009 the Department of Information and Guidance on Rare Diseases (SIO), taking in the last six months more than 400 queries.
The proposal reflects that "D'Genes" and ERDF would manage the service of reconciliation of family life and works (nursery) based on the needs to be detected in the industrial park "The Saladar" assuming the costs of staff, cleanliness and building maintenance, directly charging users a fee similar services to the public prices established in other municipal services.
